The 26-yer-old PC has been chagred with sex offences and suspended from duty by West Midlands Police
A police officer has been charged with sex offences following a Sunday Mirror investigation.
PC Anthony Fellows, 26, is accused of sending a girl of 15 a sexually explicit photograph and obtaining personal data about her.
He allegedly made the contact via the adult dating site Badoo.
Fellows, a PC for four years, has been suspended from duty by West Midlands Police and faces jail if convicted.
It comes after we saw the photograph and messages between the pair and alerted police.
After we handed over our dossier, officers from an internal disciplinary unit swooped on Fellows’ home.
They are thought to have seized mobile phones and computer equipment.
Fellows has been charged with “attempting to cause a child under 16 to look at an image of a person engaging in sexual activity”.
He is also accused of obtaining personal data in a way that breaches the Data Protection Act.
He is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
A police source said: “It’s the talk of the station. It’s not often you get a serving police officer in the dock. If convicted, it will be the end of his career.”
